Nick, What you might try doing is using one of the RedHat boot floppies. It could be that the BIOS doesn't recognized bootable CDs. Also note that a Pentium and a 386 are not the same thing. A Pentium is basically a 586. Both a 386 and Pentium are part of the Intel x86 family though. There are also some older 386 chips that won't be supported. I think that if it's an 386 SX it will not work, but I can't be sure. There is a Linux compatability sheet somewhere on the net that would tell ya. You should try to boot from a floopy and also see if you can find out the exact type of CPU.
