  Since encrypt may not be written with
the same attention to detail as standard
Un*x passwd changing programs it is not 
recommended that you use this program
as a method for changing login shell
passwords.

  This program is more or less useful for
changing passwords automatically for some
reason or for a fast method to test the
encryption of password strings and specifying
the salt to be used.
